The MT2 lecture is aimed at students of the medical technology course and is one of the basic lectures in the field of computer science for medical engineering. Methods and devices that process and image the anatomy and function of the body for diagnosis and therapy are explained. One focus is on understanding and applying basic algorithms in medical image processing, such as segmentation, filtering and image reconstruction. The presented modalities include X-ray systems, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance tomography (MRT), optical coherence tomography (OCT) and ultrasound (US).
