The video shows the results of a study on voice generation and the vocal fold. The results were obtained by a simulation based on the lattice Boltzmann method (DNS, Re 1000, D3Q19, TRT). The simulation, which was performed on SuperMUC* using the HPC software framework waLBerla [https://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?doid=2503210.2503273], makes use of grid refinement in order to drastically reduce the overall workload and memory requirements.
